CWELCC Program Extended — Fees Remain at $22/Day or Less Until at Least June 30, 2027
On September 29, 2026, Ontario's Minister of Education, the Honourable Paul Calandra, announced that the federal government has agreed to extend the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program. For families enrolled in CWELCC, child care fees will remain at current levels ($22 per day or less) until at least June 30, 2027. There is no change to current fees and no action is needed from families. Ontario will continue discussions with the federal government on the program's long-term arrangements, and we will share updates as soon as we receive them. Questions? Please contact the office.
