Curriculum

Montessori program

An integrated thematic approach. Each material isolates one concept or skill, is designed so children are drawn to it, and includes control of error so a child can check their own work.

These are tools that lead to independence, and that let children see abstract ideas presented in concrete, three-dimensional ways. The tools help them grasp what they are working on, and allow each child to work at their own pace.

Pre-Casa

The Pre-Casa program offers a unique environment for the sensitive needs of this age group. Montessori curriculum is most effective when introduced at a very young age. Our classrooms accommodate children 16 months to 3 years old, with one teacher for every five students.

In this setting, children start to feel the classroom as their own peaceful and special space, where they play a meaningful role in their own care and the care of their environment. Real Montessori encourages children to learn good behaviour from one another. Materials are designed to be attractive and inviting.

Casa

Casa programs offer real Montessori methods every day. Each daily schedule is infused with sufficient free play, musical activities, and rest time to support children’s spirits.

Casa students use our proprietary English, mathematics, and French workbooks as part of their daily curriculum. Workbooks are sent home each Friday so parents can continue the learning over the weekend. Sample copies are available during a tour. All Casa classrooms are staffed with one teacher for every eight students.

Through manipulation of specific materials, children develop important life skills, coordination, concentration, and self-confidence. Teachers present lessons individually and in small groups. Materials are attractive and inviting so they capture the interest of the child.
